It began as most questionable Shadowplay Creations songs do; with a character idea.
It’s not a particularly popular or profitable song. But that’s OK.
It wasn’t built for virality, sync licensing, or corporate partnerships. Just a raw, mildly offensive little groove about a creature named Calvin Swine.
From Sound to Snout
Somewhere between the riffs and rants, Calvin began to take physical form – first as a scribble, an illustration, then as a sculpture, then as a full-blown resin-cast avatar of unapologetic defiance.
Not a Mascot. A Mirror.
Born of sarcasm, forged in resin, and raised in the mud of modern productivity and consumerism, Calvin Swine is not a mascot. He’s a mirror.
He’s a snout-forward symbol of irony towards a world that’s constantly trying to sell you your own identity back — with interest.
Handmade. Muddied. Mistaken (on purpose).
Each Calvin Swine sculpture is sculpted, moulded, and painted by hand – imperfect by design. There are no mass-produced swines here. No clean lines. No factory finishes. Just the joyful mess of a real human trying to make meaning in a commodified and increasingly digitised world.
So… what is this thing?
It’s art. It’s protest. It’s a collectible. It’s something you definitely don’t need.
As Calvin would say:
“BUY IT ANYWAY!”
Swine Mode Isn’t a Joke. It’s a Tactic.
When the system gets too loud, when the noise gets too bright Swine Mode kicks in.
Calvin reminds us to survive with humour, contradiction, and just enough sarcasm to keep the void at bay.
This is the beginning of something weird.
Something handmade. Something Shadowplay.
Stay tuned. The mud gets deeper from here. Shadowplay Creations
